Madison Smith, Communications Manager at #WeRideTogether, grew up competitively horse showing on both recognized and intercollegiate circuits. Having experienced sexual violence in college, Madison has dedicated the last five years to working to prevent and educate about sexual violence in educational and athletic settings. Madison graduated from Indiana University in May 2023 with a B.A.J. in News Reporting, Writing and Editing and a B.A. in French. At IU, Madison was president of Shattering the Silence, a community organization for survivors of sexual and/or gender-based violence, captain of the IHSA Hunt Seat team, and Speaker of the Student Government Congress. She also spent time interning for Promoting Awareness | Victim Empowerment (PAVE) and Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center before going on to work for #WeRideTogether. Having spent time living in Aix-en-Provence, France, as well as the mountains of southern Wyoming, she loves to travel, go to pilates, and hang out with her cat, Freddy, in her spare time. Madison is based in Washington, DC.
